Current Music: Something by Aaron Sprinkle
Current Mood: no energy left
Current Musings:

Worship occurs when someone sells his or her life out to God.
It's a lifestyle of obedience (even in the face of sacrifice).
Its more than just meeting together and singing songs. Moments
of worship can occur everyday in quiet times of prayer, or in
large groups where people are experiencing the unity of the Holy
Spirit. It all boils down to acts done whose roots are in a
Christian's love of God.

Current Music: O Praise Him (All This For a King)
Current Mood: Worn out
Current Musings:

"The most important things are the hardest to say. They are the things you get ashamed of, because words diminish them--words shrink things that seemed limitless when they were in your head to no more than living size when they're brought out. But it's more than that, isn't it? The most important things lie too close to wherever your secret heart is buried, like landmarks to a a treasure your enemies would love to steal away. And you may make revelations that cost you dearly only to have people look at you ina funny way, not understanding what you've said at all, or why you thought it was so important that you almost cried when you were saying it. That's the worst, I think. When the secret stays locked within not for the want of a teller but for the want of an understanding ear."--Stephen King

yeah yeah.. another quote, but why put things in your own words if someone who is a better orator has already said what you think?

Current Music: The sounds in my head
Current Mood: Searching
Current Musings:
My friend Nick always finds the best quotes that seem to ring true to me. I stole this one from him:

"Take any emotion - love for a woman, or grief for a loved one...If you hold back on those emotions - if you don't allow yourself to go all the way through them - you can never get to being detached, you're too busy being afraid. You're afraid of the pain, you're afraid of the grief. You're afraid of the vulnerability that loving entails. But by throwing yourself into these emotions, by allowing yourself to dive in, all the way, over your head, even, you experience them fully and completely. You know what pain is. You know what love is."

Do you ever just feel a certain way about a situation, and have no idea why you feel that way? Before you all start freaking out, no, i'm not describing my feelings pertaining to a girl. However, it is a situation that involves a few friends of mine.

I feel very strongly that they (hehe, the impersonal, ambiguous pronoun) should not get involved with a certain thing... gosh could i be more vague? I just don't know how to bring it up to any of them - mainly because I can't explain why i think it would be a bad idea...

How often is it ok to just trust your gut and act on that? AHHHHH... i just wish i had some answers..

You're The Things They Carried!

by Tim O'Brien

Harsh and bitter, you tell it like it is. This usually comes in short,
dramatic spurts of spilling your guts in various ways. You carry a heavy load, and this
has weighed you down with all the horrors that humanity has to offer. Having seen and
done a great deal that you aren't proud of, you have no choice but to walk forward,
trudging slowly through ongoing mud. In the next life, you will come back as a water
buffalo.

hmm... perspective shift time

Each night before I go to bed, 150,000 people will walk out of this life. Each second 2 people will die. In the time it takes me to write this sentance, probably a dozen people will have died.

I was asked a question, "Do I care?"

I was asked a more difficult question "Do I care enough (to do something)?"

I know what mine are. What are your responses?
