It was a coldish rainy (thunderstorming really) sunday afternoon and I was on the phone with my mom. Suddenly one of my friends bursts into my room and shouts - there's a tornado in rusk county, we are chasing it hurry up if you want to come. Needless to say I said a quick good bye to mom (and told her I love her) and ran down the stairs to catch up with the guys. It was a great way to spend sunday afternoon. All I was going to do was write a OT background paper for hummel. Anyway, we never caught up to it but we missed it by minutes three different times. Dang it. We did see the top of a tree tossed about 30 feet or so, a de-roofed mobile home, probably a dozen trees (not branches) down along one of the road, 2 roads completely blocked by about 20 feet of trees that had fallen down, a fire man who threatened to arrest us for driving on the back roads, and finally on our way out we got stuck in a flash flood. That was a cool day.
Hope you enjoyed yours!
