ever feel throughly useless?

I called a girl today who had let the church know that she was interested in recieving information on how to commit her life to christ. so i called her up, and tried to talk to her, and all she said was that she wanted to see what the church would send her. I asked if she has a specifc question or an event that prompted the question and she said no, she just wondered what we would send. i told her that i'd check it out, and promised not to pressure her to make a decision. blah.. i felt totally useless in that conversation.
